WeGone! Privacy Policy

WeGone! is an app for planning trips with a group of friends. This policy explains what it collects, why, and what it does not do. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

• Your name and Apple account identifier. You sign in with Apple. Apple gives us a stable identifier for you and, on your first sign-in only, your name and an email address — which may be Apple's private relay address if you chose to hide yours.
• What you put into a trip. Dates, itinerary, supply lists, meals, packing lists, chat messages, photos, and tournament scores. All of it is visible to the other people on that trip. That is the point of the app.
• Your location, only while you switch it on. The Location tab is off by default. When you turn it on you choose how long it runs for, and it stops on its own. Nobody outside your trip ever sees it.
• A device token for notifications, if you allow them, so we can send you a push.

What we deliberately do not collect

• Where your photos were taken. Photos carry hidden GPS coordinates. We read the date and camera model, and throw the coordinates away before the photo is stored. The copy we keep has had its metadata stripped.
• Payment information. There is none in the app. The Calcutta tab keeps score and adds up bids. No money moves through WeGone!, there is nothing to buy, and there is no way to deposit or withdraw anything.
• Anything for advertising. No ad networks, no advertising identifier, no cross-app tracking, no profile building.

Who can see your information

Other members of a trip you are on can see what you post to that trip. Nobody else can — trips are private, joined only by an invite code from somebody already on them. Your personal packing list is visible only to you.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anybody else. We use a small number of service providers purely to run the app: a hosting provider for the server and database, an object-storage provider for photos, and Apple for sign-in and push notifications. They process data on our instructions only.

How long we keep it

Your trip content stays until you or the trip owner deletes it. Deleting a trip deletes its chat, photos and tournament for everybody.

Deleting your account

In the app: tap the trip name at the top, then Delete my account. This removes your account, your sign-in, your personal lists and your device tokens.

Content you contributed to a shared trip — a chat message, a photo, a logged catch — stays on that trip with your name removed. That is deliberate: deleting your account should not silently rearrange a tournament other people are still settling up over. If you want something specific removed, delete it in the app before deleting your account, or email us.

Children

WeGone! is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device, not in ordinary app storage. Sessions expire and can be revoked by signing out.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where it matters, tell you in the app.
